That crash still looks like it's the one that happens from a bad
libsmbios initialization.  Can you disable the Dell plugin harder?

Like this:

# sudo mv /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/fwupd-plugins-3/libfu_plugin_dell.so
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/fwupd-plugins-3/libfu_plugin_dell.so.old

That will prevent it from even running it's init method (usually
blacklist makes it abort after init).
