Public bug reported:

Running Ubuntu MATE 18.04 daily build for 2018-01-25.

To reproduce:
 1. Open ubiquity

Results:
The cursor changes from the default Breeze cursor, to some sort of fall back
cursor. Logging out and logging back in fixes the problem.
