Public bug reported:
1. Availability: any
2. Rationale:
uvloop is a new dependency that MAAS will use (in the next upload). This
provides asyncio event loop for MAAS to improve performance.
Note that this is required on MAAS 2.4+, which will be uploaded to the
archive soon, but doing this MIR as preparation.
3. Security:
No CVE's
4. QA:
1 bug in debian. 0 bugs in Ubuntu.
5. UI standards:
None
6. Dependencies:
Build-deps in universe:
- cython3: C-Extensions for python.
- python3-pytest, python3-aiohttp: Dependencies only used for testing.
Runtime deps: All in main.
7. Standards:
No lintian errors.
Packaged with debhelper. Source format is 3.0 (quilt)
Standards version: 3.9.8
8. Maintenance:
Easy. (MAAS Maintainers is subscribed to the package in Ubuntu).
9. Background information:
The package provides a asyncio event loop. MAAS uses a event loop for twisted.
Using uvloop allows MAAS to move to asyncio for the event loop, which improves
MAAS' performance.
