Looking at DpkgTerminalLog file suggest this is not a problem caused by ubuntu-fan but something related to runmbbservice that causes the update of sysvinit scripts to fail. That update is triggered by ubuntu-fan post-install hooks.
The mbbservice looks to be a non-standard driver related to a Huawei 4G dongle (see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+question/284708). ** Changed in: ubuntu-fan (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1738257 Title: package ubuntu-fan 0.12.8~16.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-fan/+bug/1738257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
