After installing everything, I rebooted to use the new kernel. I then
installed updates on the machine to see if the problem would happen
(easier way to make it happen is on the moment I try to update). After
the update, wireless stopped working. Restarted many times and still not
working.

Could it be that the update triggered the error and the so called pcie
reset of this kernel made the wireless go wrong?

I'm gonna still use this kernel to see if the read only filesystem
happens though
