Jon Watte, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. 1) Regarding using kernel parameter: acpi_rev_override=5
Could you please advise if you remove it altogether (i.e. perform a default boot) what happens? 2) Regarding your attempt to blacklist nouveau, as per your log below, it isn't blacklisted: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1748511/+attachment/5052050/+files/Lspci.txt Hence, you may want to disable it in BIOS, or physically pull it out of the board so you don't have to maintain a blacklist effort. 3) Is this issue something that started to happen after an update? If so, which one specifically? 4) If you login to an xorg session instead of a wayland session, is this still reproducible? ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1748511 Title: Xorg crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1748511/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
