Public bug reported:

I have an ASUS UX305C laptop, and some of the function keys do not work.

The keys in question:

fn - airplane mode (f2)
fn - brightness down (f5)
fn - brightness up (f6)

I followed the troubleshooting guide at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hotkeys/Troubleshooting with the following results:

1. acpi_listen gives no output when those keys are pressed
2. xev gives no output when those keys are pressed

The keys work on Windows 10. On a more recent version of the similar
laptop UX430UA-DH74, using the same version of Ubuntu 16.04.3, the same
keys work properly.
