I confirm this issue still exists when doing a PXE netboot of Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop and also with a PXE netboot of an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) Desktop Daily Build.
I also use the workaround to comment out the all the interfaces in /etc/network/interfaces except the loopback adapter and the machine gets an IP at the next boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388060 Title: netboot install of live CD results in unconfigured network interface To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/388060/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
