Same problem... I freshly installed Kubuntu 7.10 from "Desktop CD" (downloaded from "http://ftp.linux.edu.lv/pub/ubuntu/kubuntu/gutsy/"; and burned). After install i configured system, installed additional packages without problems. Finally i let to Adept to update some packages (i remember in update list i see some "adept*" packages) and i got same problem as described above.
