apt-cache policy is a good way to check which version of a package you
have installed e.g.

 $ apt-cache policy aptdaemon
aptdaemon:
  Installed: 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu19
  Candidate: 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu19
  Version table:
 *** 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu19 100
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu17 500
        500 http://192.168.10.7/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 Packages
        500 http://192.168.10.7/ubuntu bionic/main i386 Packages
