Hi Mike. > Any advice for future transfers of mysql databases would be appreciated. This is really not a good approach to copy MySQL or MariaDB data (aka /var/lib/mysql) from an OS to another.
The transfert of SQL DB between OS needs to be done with an export of your DB and an import on the new OS (logical backup). See https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/backup-and-restore-overview/ and Logical vs Physical backups. ** Changed in: mariadb-10.0 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590974 Title: package mariadb-common 10.0.25-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mariadb-10.0/+bug/1590974/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
