Public bug reported:
I just installed Lubuntu on a laptop. Did it on two other ones this
morning (3/3/2018 <9am EST) without issue and two yesterday (3/2/2018)
without issue. I installed Lubuntu on a HP G71 Notebook PC originally
running Windows 7 something prior to 2pm EST. First issue was that the
file system was reported to be a read only file system. I fixed this by
running a manual fsck. After that, when I booted the computer, the first
thing to pop up when I log in is an error message which says:
Title=Openbox Syntax Error
Error=One or more XML errors were found while parsing the Openbox configuration
files. See stdout for more information. The last error seen was in file
"/home/user/.config/openbox/lubuntu-rc.xml" line 1, with message: Document is
empty
Not sure what stdout is, but when I find out I will add the information
concerning it to the comments. From looking at previous expired bug
reports, this file (which is empty) is used for storing the actions of
keyboard shortcuts, which don't work because the file is empty.
The Ubuntu release is 17.10. Everything is up to date but I don't know
which version of the package I am using.
** Affects: lubuntu-default-settings (Ubuntu)
