hi, i have this problem too im using sony vaio vpceg38fg with nvidia 410m but the screen is not black, its just turned off. i have tried nvidia binary driver 384.111, 304.137, 340.104 none of them worked bug-free nouveau work but i cannot change the brightness of the screen.
