Public bug reported: This package docker.io is (as are most packages) obsolete, and the official instructions (https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker- ce/ubuntu/#set-up-the-repository) recommend removing it.
Given the pace that docker is moving out and the other things on Ubuntu's plate, why not just drop the package entirely? It just causes more confusion than necessary to exist.
