This bug exists in Linux Mint 18.3 (Sylvia, xenial-based):
synaptic shows duplicate entries for packages.linuxmint.com Origins.
$ apt-cache policy synaptic
synaptic:
Installed: 0.83linuxmint4
Candidate: 0.83linuxmint4
Version table:
*** 0.83linuxmint4 700
700 http://packages.linuxmint.com sylvia/upstream amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
0.83 500
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages
