Also: After a pdf print job failure, material from other apps (OO, Firefox, etc) cannot be printed. Even though the pdf doc is eliminated from the print queue, its as though initiating a pdf print job corrupts the print job manager (or some other app or OS component). Apparently this means that either the printer driver must be deleted and re- installed, or the computer restarted. However, restarting the computer may not work (must be verified).
