I found this as well, see bug 1756915
TL;DR: one of the stable fixes had an issue and now breaks it (essentially all
hot attaches fail).
A test build is already available and an update should soon be available.
Thank you a lot to file this bug - great detail - I appreciate.
I'll dup this one to the bug I work on already.
