How did you work out to do
sudo apt install --reinstall libavutil-ffmpeg54/xenial
libavresample-ffmpeg2/xenial libavformat-ffmpeg56/xenial
libavfilter-ffmpeg5/xenial libavdevice-ffmpeg56/xenial
libavcodec-ffmpeg-extra56/xenial libavcodec-extra/xenial
as per comment #19?
i.e. how did you identify the particular packages?
The reason that I ask is that there are other packages containing the
characters "libav" (other than "libavahi" ones) in all.txt:
gstreamer1.0-libav
libav-tools
libavc1394-0
libav-idemux2.6
Similarly, there are other packages containing the characters "ffmpeg" (but not
"libav") in all.txt:
libpostproc-ffmpeg53
libswresample-ffmpeg1
libswscale-ffmpeg3
I'm going to check if there are other packages containing the characters
"libav" (other than ones containing the characters "libavahi") or "ffmpeg" in
all.txt on the Barebones & Laptop PCs that play sound Ok.
