Public bug reported:
Since sometime in the last two days, several snap apps started to fail.
Among them: spotify, skype and darktable.
Spotify fails with:
[1630][nicolas.nicolas-laptop: /home/nicolas]$ spotify
/bin/bash: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL: cannot change locale (en_US.UTF-8)
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gail"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "atk-bridge"
(spotify:11276): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
Darktable with:
[1631][nicolas.nicolas-laptop: /home/nicolas]$ darktable
/bin/bash: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL: cannot change locale (en_US.UTF-8)
(process:11325): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_set: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT
(object)' failed
[l10n] error: can't open directory `/share/locale'
Failed to connect to Mir: Failed to connect to server socket: No such file or
directory
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
(darktable:11325): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
And skype crashes silently.
I don't report separated bugs because I suspect there may be a common
root in all cases. Please, if I am mistaken, let me know and I will
report separate bugs.
