Could you please give us the output of
snap version
snap info wavebox
also, could you please confirm that 'snap whoami' gives you the expected
email (and compare with 'sudo snap whoami').

For the record, you should not need to log in to snapd to refresh the
wavebox snap (assuming it's the one in the public store), and, once
logged in to snapd, you should not need to use 'sudo' nor get policykit
prompts) for interacting with snapd at all. On the other hand, you can't
log in without using sudo (or policykit), so your description is missing
some relevant information at least.
What might be happening is that, through using 'sudo', snap is somehow
picking up the 'wrong' credentials. We have code in snap to help this
not happen, but I'm sure inventive configuration of sudoers can make it
fail. It'll be interesting to learn what's actually going on here, so we
can make snap more resilient.
