Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: cryptsetup
cryptsetup is called by initscripts for mounting (non-root) encrypted
filesystems.
cryptsetup has dependancies upon libraries located in /usr/lib
(libgcrypt11 (>= 1.2.2), libgpg-error0 (>= 1.4)...) but is called by
initscripts BEFORE /usr is mounted.
Get the picture for machines where /usr resides in a separate partition
from the root filesystem ! It miserably fails, hanging system boot.
Libraries upon which cryptsetup depends definitely must be moved from
/usr/lib to /lib . Corresponding packages have to be fixed for this.
** Affects: cryptsetup (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
