I wish I could edit my last comment; it is some how corrupted. Here it
is again (hopefully as intended)

I've gone to this extreme to completely remove Chromium:

sudo rm -rf /home/username/.config/chromium ; sudo rm -rf
/home/username/.cache/chromium ; sudo rm -rf /usr/lib/chromium-browser ;
sudo rm -rf /etc/chromium-browser ; sudo rm -rf /usr/share/app-
install/desktop/chromium* ; sudo rm -rf /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/oxide-
qt/chromium* ; sudo apt-get remove chromium-browser chromium-codecs-
ffmpeg-extra

After reinstalling, it only remembers me for one session. After that I
have to log into every website like I'd never used Chromium before; it
doesn't remember any saved passwords, history, bookmarks, or form data.
