I'm having exactly the same problem. I can even not boot from the live- cd and of course I cannot install Feisty at all as this would be my first installation. How can I correct the live-cd so that I can at least boot from it and then hopefully do the installation to the hard disk. I have that failure 100% and was never able to boot Feisty nor Gutsy on my Omnibook 6100. Everything is o.k on my HP Pavilion dv1000.
