I don't know why /var/run/cups does not exist, but it happens for a lot
of people.
I'll attach a fix, which adds a "|| true" to the chown line.
(STB Land, just a hint for the future: you can use "LANG=C" to force
english messages (instead of in the setup locale), so e.g. "LANG=C sudo
apt-get dist-upgrade" would make it easier to see what the problem is.)
