Thank you Jerome.  A friend installed vmware for me so I will pass your
message on to him.  He's gone travelling for a few months (or years).  I
will try to get it organise myself but if I can't I'll get back to you
if I may.

My computer is set up with a Windows partition, a Ubuntu partition and a
swap partition.  In addition I have windows in vmware in the ubuntu
partition.  I am wanting to remove the windows partition and run all
windows programs in vmware.

I struck another problem with the new version of Ubuntu.  It wouldn't
recognise the files in the swap partition, though funnily enough it did
once, I think it was because I had just been logged into windows.

I know this is complicated but I need some windows multimedia programs
as I teach them.
