The debian-installer makes sure that everything that is essential for the 
installation is automatically installed. This includes the openssh-server - the 
openssh-server will be installed even if not selected (so in contrast to the 
bug description it does not need to be selected).
Test: start an installation, do not select openssh-server and you will still be 
able to use the 2nd d-i stage as well as being able to login to the system 
remotely after the installation.
Hence this is just a 'cosmetic' feature and is marked with "wishlist" and low 
priority and is unlikely to be changed soon in d-i.
