Just learned something NEW. The LIVE CD DOES install the wireless and sees my network fine... I configured it from the LIVE-CD and it worked just fine. So, I am re-installing now while the wireless is active on the LIVE CD, to see if that makes a difference. Should have an answer for all who might care - soon.
