Public bug reported: While performing testcase: "Install (manual partitioning) in Ubuntu Desktop amd64 in Bionic Daily" the installer Freezes when clicking the "Install Now" button which is step #8 of this testcase.
Test Machine: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) Model Number A1419 CPU: 8 x Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4.00 GHz SSD 1TB Memory: 24G Graphics: Radeon M395X Intel Sunrise Point-H HD Audio ... Link to Screenshots: https://bionicmac.club/index.php/s/kIVdjxRYOauMFYq ... This happened 3 times in a row to verify. I made sure the iso was not corrupt, re-flashed the usb key and it continues to be an issue. Exactly after I click "Install Now" button the ubiquity gui goes corrupt as if it is a graphics issue but the rest of the desktop looks fine. It is only the ubiquity gui window that gets the rainbow/static video garbled. That garbled ubiquity wondow only stays for 10-15 seconds then goes away. Then the screens in the link above come up confirming an issue. This leaves me unable to complete the installation. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: iso-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1767073 Title: Bionic Beaver 18.04 Ubuntu-Desktop amd64 Installer Freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1767073/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
