Could you please recheck it with Gutsy Final Live CD?
If it doesn't work please attach the files '/etc/X11/xorg.conf',
'/var/log/Xorg.0.log' and the output of "lspci -vvnn", "sudo ddcprobe" and
"xrandr ".
