I have problem as well. Since it's been suggested that this is a Pango issue, I can offer two points of support for that:
- It doesn't occur with Scribus, which isn't linked against Pango. Inkscape is (version 1.36.3 for me). - It has actually been reported as a bug there as early as 2002: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95043 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490609 That's not to say that Inkscape might not be able to work around it, but if any interested programmer is reading, maybe that library is a better place to start. Actually, I'd be willing to chip in for a bug bounty. Does someone know a good place to do that? One of the big projects, or bring it up on one of the Inkscape dev's Patreon sites? ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #95043 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95043 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #490609 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=490609 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to a duplicate bug report (36876). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/165521 Title: font variants information ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/165521/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
