Thank you, Kevin. It helped.
I can confirm that the display scale setting "200%" causes a crash in
ubiquity. I have a 4K display. The first thing I do after Ubuntu boots
from Live USB is to adjust the scale factor to 200%. The installer
crashed at every attempt. It worked only after I left the scale at 100%.
