Ingo Gerth, as per the forum post of another HP EliteBook 8560w (different 
card), NVIDIA advised to update the BIOS, and another user advised that 
updating the driver to 375.66 worked for them:

Could you please advise on your BIOS version, update to a supported
version of Ubuntu, and advise if testing the latest NVIDIA driver for
your release works?
