Yeah #5 is not really a bug. It would be "nice" to have a better look, but it's not necessarily a problem. I don't off hand know of a good solution.
As far as the first bug is concerned, I've removed the cruft, but I'm not clear how to reproduce this. If you could enumerate the steps to do so, that would be great. Soemthing like: 1. Boot with live image (include the version and such) 2. Select (something) at the boot menu 3. Click (something else) to load Calamares 4. Select default options except for manual partitioning?
