Public bug reported:

KiCad (using both Eeschema and pcbnew) do not draw correctly in Bionic.
This is due to linking with wxwidgets against gtk3 instead of gtk2  (see
https://bugs.launchpad.net/kicad/+bug/1339539).

However, linking to gtk2 also requires a gtk2-compatible version of
wxpython (https://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty/python-wxgtk2.8-dbg) that
appears to be missing.
