Found the following ticket in Red Hats bug tracker: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1565131
This seems to be the fix: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10340045/ This is merged to torvalds/linux since v4.17-rc3. I'm assuming this is enough to mark the bug as confirmed? Would it be possible to port this back into Ubuntu 18.04? ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #1565131 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1565131 ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768852 Title: Kernel bug when unplugging Thunderbolt 3 cable, leaves xHCI host controller dead To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1768852/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
