** Description changed: Whenever I connect to my Sandisk Sansa e250 player with libmtp6 - 0.2.1-0ubuntu3 it instantly allocates about 500mb memory (exactly - 490392kB according to pmap). Disconnecting frees about 100mb, and - reconnecting uses another 500mb. The problem occurs with any + 0.2.1-0ubuntu3 (on amd64) it instantly allocates about 500mb memory + (exactly 490392kB according to pmap). Disconnecting frees about 100mb, + and reconnecting uses another 500mb. The problem occurs with any frontend/player, such as Amarok and Rhythmbox, and it didn't show this behaviour on Feisty. Using current libmtp cvs fixes the issue (no noticeable memory overhead when connecting to the player). -- [gutsy] libmtp massive memory usage with Sansa e250 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149826 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
