Hello evade, or anyone else affected, Accepted open-vm-tools into artful-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm- tools/2:10.2.0-3~ubuntu0.17.10.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
