Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:

 1. Install network-manager-fortisslvpn-gnome package.
 2. Create new VPN connection in network settings.
 3. Try to establish newly created VPN connection.

Expected result:

 1. Being connected to VPN.

Actual result:

 1. Popup with useless message saying something about not being able to connect.
 2. "journalctl -u NetworkManager -e" contains a line, similar to this:

maj 10 08:44:14 REDACTED NetworkManager[765]: <warn> [1525934654.8949]
vpn-connection[0x562d69e32230,80769cca-8e1f-4248-a1fa-
8c4fc8b9629b,"CONNECTION",0]: VPN connection: failed to connect: 'Failed
to create file “/var/lib/NetworkManager-fortisslvpn/80769cca-8e1f-4248
-a1fa-8c4fc8b9629b.config.B4X6IZ”: No such file or directory'

Actions that fix this issue:

 1. Running "sudo mkdir /var/lib/NetworkManager-fortisslvpn".

Steps to fix the packaging bug:

 1. File "https://salsa.debian.org/lkundrak-guest/network-manager-
fortisslvpn/blob/master/debian/network-manager-fortisslvpn.install"
should probably contain a line "var/lib/NetworkManager-fortisslvpn/".

** Affects: network-manager-fortisslvpn (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
