Public bug reported:
gnome-shell needs switcheroo-control in order to determine if the system
has a hybrid graphics configuration, so it displays the option to use
dedicated graphics card when the user right-clicks on an application,
and so it displays the name of the dedicated GPU in System Settings >
Details.
This package is missing from the fresh install of 18.04, and probably older
releases as well.
It can be installed by the user with the command: sudo apt install
switcheroo-control , but it should be installed by default considering its
importance.
** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
