Therefore it's perhaps specific to this laptop model but pretty sure not a 
defect of single device.

And for the sake of compleness, this ist the result after a fresh install of 
feisty (so 2.6.20):

 max_cstate: C8
 bus master activity: 00000000
 maximum allowed latency: 8000 usec
 states:

(And after that I did an reupgrade to gutsy and nothing changed. )

Prior tests with a self compiled 2.6.22.9 vanilla kernel showed the same
behavior. I posted a descprition of the error with a request for help on
the linux-acpi mailing list, but got no reaction.
