noting much further to add....i reformatted a 300gb partition on one
drive and 150 gb on another drive. i dont know if this is related to
multiple hard drive installations or what. i thought i did all the
preparation i could and followed methods which were successful in the
past with mint 17 and 18 and ubuntu 14. just not this time with multiple
attempts and nothing fancy or special other than a few hard drives and
windows 10 as the other OS, only other one that runs

Title:
  the non bug again with reformatted drives. i have 2 places  to install
  and neither can take the  installation with the grub-installer package
  . it goes all the way to the end before the error notice pops up.
  still.
