This really should have a higher priority. I am uninstalling all of my snaps and refusing to use snaps until you allow us to hide this directory (i.e. rename it to ".snap"). Apparently I'm not the only user who feels this strongly about it judging by the comments. I'm sure there are 10 times as many of us who aren't making comments on this bug.
