while upgrading, it always terminates with error:
Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/feisty-
security/restricted/binary-amd64/Packages.gz Sub-process gzip returned
an error code (1)
i tried this many times, but the problem persisted, and every time, my
internet connection was live and healthy.

problem with the upgrade. My version is kubuntu 7.10, but update-manager
performs distribution upgrade that can not be finished in full.
