Public bug reported: Seems there is a new version of the ELANPAD touchpad with identifier ELAN0612 that is being included in newer laptops. The kernel itself doesn't have support for this touchpad yet. However, the patch to get this working is trivial. Since people start being affected by this, would it be possible to include the patch in the ubuntu kernel packages until it is merged upstream? Especially, support in 18.04 would nice.
