Thanks a lot Mike! In fact, it seems (from the logs) that the modules
are building fine, the issue happens after the build - which is
different for the issue I've seen in my system (caused by failure in the
build process).

Given you got a segfault in the end of the installation process, I'd
suggest you to run:

"sudo ulimit -c unlimited"

Then, retry this installation and the segfault will generate a core dump for 
you,
usually in the working directory or /var/crash. The file is caled "core.XYZ",
where XYZ is a number (PID of the dead process).

Please, attach this core dump on Launchpad in order we can take a look.
