Public bug reported:
As with eclipse, netbeans was running under 17.10 but fails after the
18.04 upgrade. When started as either:
/usr/bin/netbeans
or
/usr/bin/netbeans --jdkhome /usr/lib/jvm/default-java
(NOTE: default-java points to java-1.11.0-openjdk-amd64)
It generates the following error and exits:
WARNING: An illegal reflective access operation has occurred
WARNING: Illegal reflective access by org.netbeans.ProxyURLStreamHandlerFactory
(file:/usr/share/netbeans/platform18/lib/boot.jar) to field java.net.URL.handler
WARNING: Please consider reporting this to the maintainers of
org.netbeans.ProxyURLStreamHandlerFactory
WARNING: Use --illegal-access=warn to enable warnings of further illegal
reflective access operations
WARNING: All illegal access operations will be denied in a future release
This is netbeans 8.1+dfsg3-4
