OK, good to hear it's working now.
As it looks like the i386 kernel was installed during the upgrade, I will mark
this bug as a bug in update-manager.
The list of installed packages does not show any evidence of an i386 kernel in
the previous release, so the upgrade should not have installed an i386 kernel.
