I was using Meld and placing several pairs of synchronization points
(see https://stackoverflow.com/q/21571173/226958 about what these are)
when Meld froze. UI was not responding at all, and the following
appeared in the terminal:

[xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing queue
[xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been 
called
[xcb] Aborting, sorry about that.
