Public bug reported:
Occasionally my touchpad didn't work after booting. So far reboot
helped. Now under Ubuntu 16.04 it just stopped working after reboot. As
far as I can recall I did apt-get upgrade before, so probably there was
something in there. I decided to upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 and see if it
solves the problem. It doesn't.
- synaptics is installed, but:
$ synclient
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
- touchpad is not detected
