I tried to log off ... didn't work. Tried to shutdown normally ...
didn't work. So I did a hard shutdown and then it booted into 14.04.
So I initiated a new install. At the point where it asked me if I
wanted to install alongside 14.04 ... this time it listed 18.04 as well.
I chose to wipe the disk (everything was backed up) and do a clean
install. It worked fine. Something must be wrong with the install
program for installing alongside another installation. Anyway I'm
happy. Any questions let me know.

Title:
I was updating from 14.04 to 18.04 ... the installer told me that grub
did not install properly and that I can not login. What do I do now?
